Ask Eric

I felt led to write “Think Ahead of Disaster,” a guide for assisting aging parents or for seniors wanting to remain in their homes. It is based on personal experiences with my parents and lessons learned from our clients. It contains tips, suggestions, and actions to take. Often, with help, a senior can remain home far more economically, while easing the burdens of family members. I believe with the right planning we can improve the quality of life as we age. It is easier, cheaper, and kinder if we prevent accidents that send people to the nursing home rather than deal with the tragic results.

My parents wanted to finish their lives at home, and it became obvious they needed help. I was able to help them, and because of my strong belief in honoring our elderly parents and their wishes, I began “Assisting Aging Parents” to help others in the same situation.

During this emotional time I would be happy to answer questions or offer support to those dealing with the issues of an aging parent.
